Over restrictive elimination of foods in children with food allergy

Background Previous studies demonstrated critical deficits in diagnosis and management of childhood food allergy (FA), recent developments FA research support adopting a proactive approach management. Our objective was to describe knowledge patterns pediatricians. Method We applied 24-item survey 170 general pediatricians, pediatric allergists gastroenterologists practicing Turkey. Future educational efforts should focus on emphasizing deleterious effects injudicious extensive eliminations.
